Access Consulting

The need.​

Accessing places and services is a challenge for neurodivergent people which leads to us missing out and directly contributes to inequalities. Over the past four years Autek staff have been creating videos to support this. We have also been experiencing many different environments as we carry out our shoots and have developed an acute understanding of what works and, critically, where things can be improved. The key is to reduce the triggers for neurodivergent anxiety, through the senses, and triggers for poor communication including signage, verbal and through websites / flyers / videos.​

Our Service.​

• Access audit.​

A half day visit by a small team of Autek consultants to evaluate the environment through our understanding and personal experiences, which will be written up as a report including recommendations for improvements.​

• Communications Check​

An access check on any communications that you would like to be inclusive for neurodivergent people including website, social media, appointment letters, leaflets and videos.​

We offer a bespoke service and will tailor the work to meet your requirements – from a simple 30-minute review of an appointment letter, through creating a sensory guide to your building, to a full audit of your service, we are here to help you be more inclusive for neurodivergent people like ourselves.​
